Reminiscent

Chilly wee
But sweet as releasing a pee
Lights in the distance
Shine the vast cloudless sky
She laments
Of another day in peril
Of another pillow drying her tears

Her pride well she knows
Has given her several blows
Her way of life as it glows
Has lost her many pawns
From life’s gruesome paws

In solitude at an altitude
She is reminiscent of her past
Clouds of thoughts stream on her brain
As she coils her little self
From the freezing cold
Asking God to exalt her
As He has already humbled her!
