Let Go Off That Burden

Sometimes, life can push you to a corner. You may feel and wonder why you are the only one going through such a hard time. You may look at others and love their lives or even wished you had their life. 

There is a reason why your life has played out exactly how it has. What you might think is amazing and brilliant in your own eyes might be totally different if you experienced it yourself. Everyone has a story and a burden.

Everything as a burden as well. There is the burden of building something, working somewhere, there is the burden of giving unto others, there is the burden of pleasing others, there is the burden of hate and resentment etc.

Some burdens are worth it and others are not. For example, the bible says in Hebrews 4:19 NKJV “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest…” This in itself is an oxymoron. How do you labour to enter a rest? Simply put the burden of labouring to enter God’s rest is worth it.

To enter this rest, you must let go of the unprofitable burdens. The weight of hate and resentment, the burden of regret and fear, the burden of pleasing others and selling your soul for a profitable gain etc. That is itself, is labour. The labour to let go.

Everything has a yoke as well. Everything you do or have has a yoke. There is the yoke of marriage, business, family etc. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
