This is a story of how a mechanical engineer, Edgar met his love, a civil engineer, Yvonne.
Yvonne sits on a park bench reading a copy of her Civil Engineering magazine
A well-dressed man talking on the phone approaches the bench.
He asks whether he can sit beside her
He glances over at her magazine to see what she is reading
Struck by her stunning beauty, he greets her and starts to initiate a conversation but at first he is ignored.
He tells her, “Hey, I love the perfume you are wearing.”
She is stunned by such a compliment and looks at him in the eye. Edgar says, “Can I have a look at what you are reading?”
And she gladly shows him her prowess in her field.
Edgar gets a perfect opportunity to initiate a conversation.
Edgar: You know me too, usinione hivi hivi. Mimi ndio mjanja kijiji chetu.
Edgar: So msupa mimi ni Makanika
Yvonne: Haiya, so wewe ni dereva wa hii tractor?
Edgar: Ati?
Yvonne: No, I meant, do you have a fleet of these?
Edgar: Of course yeah.
Edgar: Sasa si twende ukaendeshe?
Yvonne: Dear stranger, I would love to but I have important things to do
Edgar: Serious? Twende basi nitakupea ride. Yvonne: Am a very busy girl. I have stuff to do.
Edgar: Sawasawa msupa. I really had a wonderful conversation with you.
Yvonne: Me too
Yvonne: Sasa utaniwachilia mkono ama?
Edgar: Whah!?
Edgar: Mmmmmmh
Edgar: Na sikuitisha number. Shida yangu inakuwaga nini?
Edgar is walking in the streets whilst making a phone call
Yvonne is also on the streets chatting…
Unaware, they bump into each other.
Yvonne: Shida yako ni nini mzee?
Edgar: Aaaaa! Yvoooone! Remember me?
Caller on the line: Ati?
Edgar: You guy let me call you back.
Edgar: Msuupa, kwanza hebu nipe huug!
Yvonne: Not too fast. Hey?
Edgar: As you wish madam, niaje?
Yvonne: Hey, I believe it is just hills that do not meet.
Edgar: You look amazing.
Yvonne: Weee! Usinifanye niblush…
Edgar: Kwanza hebu nipe number saa hii! This cannot be a coincidence.
Yvonne: 072……
Yvonne: Hapa umekosea toa hii 3 weka 8
Edgar: Oooh figure 8?
Edgar: Coffee sometime?
Yvonne: Maybe?
Yvonne: You are such a charming mechanic
Edgar: Eiish. Juu ya hiyo story let me mechanically engineer your stomach. Nimekam na ma KDF hapa.
Yvonne: Really?
Edgar: *Whistle* Wee jamaa wa ice-cream?
Edgar: Hebu wekea msupa kamoja.
Yvonne: Unataka?
Edgar: Sasa juu umenipaka ice cream kila mahali si tule ma KDF zangu?
Edgar: Kula KDF wacha kujifanya hujawahi kula
Edgar: Wacha nikufungulie Kasoda
Edgar: Teremsha na Kasoda usinyongwe switi
