I Pick Myself Up

When pain parades its pus
When trouble trails my tail
When misfortunes muster like mice
When despair disdains and destructs
I pick myself up

If sadness serrates my soul
If life leaves me by the lane
If loved ones lie and leave
If tears trickle and tinge
I pick myself up

Should sinister sounds soar
Should foes fight to flaunt
Should fear feckly fail
Should hunger harness every hour
I pick myself up

Life, unfair as it is
The road, winding as it is
The goal, vague and full of uncertainties
Purpose, the nightmare that scares
All bombards one’s brain
But through the scorching heat and blazing fire
Pick yourself up
